Taken For A Ride By Keith L. Anderson, Ph.D. Why didn’t we as Americans, not realize one day our obsession with unqualified people giving us their advice, would rear-up and bite us in the ass? Consequentially, we Americans have gotten ourselves into the bad habit of taking advice from people who have no expertise in areas, that drastically affect our lives and society. Sure, every American has a right to their opinions. However, Americans seemed to have forgotten about our right to NOT listen to or follow stupid ass opinions! Once the television show host, who’d never held public office at any level, became President of the United States, the flood gates of unqualified applicants opened wider. These unqualified people learned to say, the simplest, stupidest, most separatist line of lies. And they learned to keep saying those lies over and over. The number of people who believed those lies was and is very significant; amounting to a significant number of potential votes. Therefore, this new brand of lying had to become the newest weapon for politicians who really know nothing about helping their constituents. These unqualified people are loud. And as the saying goes, the squeaky wheel gets the grease. But I’m telling you America, our handlebars are pointing in the wrong direction. Those greasy wheels are taking us faster, to a place that is really unhealthy for ALL Americans. America is like the 7-foot, youngster, who has all the potential in the world. However, he starts listening to his angry and talentless cousin. Soon he too is angry. His anger causes him to never reach his full potential. Sure, he makes enough money to appear satisfied. But deep down inside he knows he could have accomplished a lot more, had he listened to his parents and coaches and not his angry cousin. America is getting by, but America has yet to reach her full potential. When everyone living in America has equal rights and equal access to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, America will have reached her full potential. Anything short of this type of equality, will always allow for unqualified, angry people, to lead America to an unhappy place, where no one but the elite will prosper! This is important; Americans be careful who you listen to!
